Highlights:

HONORS AND AWARDS Achievement Award for Excellence from Unisys chairman Mr. W. M. Blumenthal – Ex Secretary of Treasury. CFA 4.0 Working Group Committee Member representing SanDisk Corporation. JEDEC JC42.4 and JC64.8 TG Committee Member representing PNY Technology. Award of Appreciation for Outstanding Contribution to 3888 Cache Program from Unisys Sr. V. P and General manager Mr. W. Morgan. Numerous Awards and Commendation for project assistance and timely completion. Detail Relevant Experiences: I have gained an excellent knowledge and experience at Seagate, SanDisk and PNY Technology, which I have demonstrated by solving many complex NAND Flash Memory Interface protocol, Firmware and ASIC Controller design and production issues in the CF cards, SSD/HDD and its relevant host with fellow workers. I feel that I am uniquely qualified to achieve superior results with your company. I have quite a few ideas that I can bring with me to achieve your goals in the NAND Flash Memory, Controllers and it’s Storage Products: • I believe as a Task Group Committee member in the JEDEC JC 42.4 Fast NAND Protocol standardization and JC 64.8 SSD Standardization experience is a plus to define and achieve Flash Storage relevant objectives. My broad experiences attending Flash Memory Summit, Memcon, IDF and DisCon are Plus to achieve Objective in Flash Storage Products. This help to investigate Mobile Storage market trend and generate Flash Memory products road map based on the band width, Storage capacity, power and Cost. • Developed the very first 1.8” and 2.5” PATA/SATA SSD using CF card IDE Port and bridge chips at SanDisk in 2005. Based on the protocol bus trace, identified the SSD’s tremendous advantage over Hard Disk Drive in the Laptop application. • At PNY Tech. conceptually developed the enterprise SATA I/II SSDs and launched to production. Selected SSD’s Controller where managed NAND controllers were part of the main controller to achieve the highest write and read performances. • Define the current MLC/SLC NAND flash Storage requirements for consumer electronics, mobiles and Platform NAND applications such as DOM, DIMM, and SSD for PC, Server, and HD MPEG4 video compression for hybrid digital cameras, PDA, Mobile Phone and MP3. I have helped Controller Vendors and In house development/testing to implement it in such applications. • Defining NAND Flash Storage Controller requirements: System Level controller Block diagrams achieving the highest performances by architect managed NAND in the main flash controller, multiple full duplex NAND channels and cache memory, unique wear leveling algorithm, Selecting MLC/SLC combination NAND Flash and optimizing firmware to reduce garbage collection using chaotic updates. Development is based on Object Oriented Design philosophy of HW/FW down level compatible and scalable as we move forward using high speed ONFI 2.1/Toggle Mode NAND interface protocol. This is scalable to consumer Flash Storage, Platform NVMHCI – NAND application, Readyboost/Ready Drive and enterprise SSDs applications. • Define the Universal Test Coverage and testing all Flash Storage Products such as NAND DIMM and DOM, SSD, USB Flash drives SD, Micro SD and Memory Stick Cards. Develop the detail Test Cases/Test Scripts, Characterization and Bench mark testing for these products using various latest Host and its various Linux, Unix, Windows OS. I was a CFA 4.0 Working Group Member representing SanDisk and developed UDMA protocol. I believe my training and broad NAND Based Flash storage device and Controller Subsystem level hardware, firmware and software experience is not only limited to Flash Controller Firmware or ASIC development aspect but also contributed in improving overall system performance without compromising the data integrity, transfer speed and of course cost. I am sure I can be very helpful to other fellow engineers within the group with my experience and knowledge. I take ownership of a given project and follow it through till its completion. I believe my training and broad Flash Memory Storage, Disk Drive and Controller Subsystem level hardware, firmware and software experience contributed in improving overall system performance without compromising the data integrity, transfer speed and, of course cost.
