As an inside claim representative I reviewed the loss report and contacted the insured to review the loss and either fast tracked the damage or assigned an independent adjuster for an inspection. I determined coverage, completed additional investigation if needed, reviewed the independents estimate for scope, pricing and accuracy. Once the review was complete I would pay or deny the claim as merited. I handled additional living costs, personal property claims and theft losses as well. As a field representative I would do the above plus complete my own inspections, write estimates, and get agreed costs of repairs with contractors.
