Highlights:

• Organized and managed a 20 personnel maintenance detachment for a Weapon and Tactics Instructor course, ensuring expedient repair of unscheduled maintenance resulting in two aircrew earning instructor certifications on schedule, without any maintenance delays. • Coordinated a fleet validation of a newly engineered laser targeting system with Northrop Grumman and Navy Fleet Support, resulting in a rapid implementation of an improved targeting system for OIF. • Analyzed avionics mission requirements and maintenance trends for combat operations in Iraq and directed appropriate maintenance to accomplish those missions. The result was 2600 sorties flown totaling 8000 flight hours in six months, 4X the monthly flight hours flown during training. • Improved unit morale by personally setting up the network infrastructure for 150 living quarters to have internet connectivity during the OIF combat deployment. • One of the six selected out of 68 applicants for the Fiscal Year 2003 Warrant Officer selection board. • Standardized the avionics systems lesson guides for all units by rewriting the outlines used for formal training. Approved by the model manager for the AV8-B community. • Directed the maintenance and management of five production work centers resulting in 100% completion of missions during a rapid deployment to Operation Enduring Freedom in response to 9/11. Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. • Implemented a change in the setup of the aircraft discrepancy records to facilitate the ease of reviewing the records by the aircrew before their launch time. This allowed for more on-aircraft preparation by the aircrew, minimizing risks. • Reviewed and analyzed interim schematics, troubleshot prototype avionics systems and wrote proposed maintenance procedures for newly engineered combat systems, contributing to improved capabilities as well as on-time release to fleet. • Innovated a unique repair procedure for a problematic fuel system anomaly, allowing aircraft to return to full mission-capable status. • Directed the preparation for the Commander, Naval Air Forces Material Condition Inspection on AV8-B aircraft, resulting in a grade of Outstanding with zero discrepancies. Awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. • Third honor graduate out of 78 at NCO Leadership course. Awarded a Certificate of Commendation.
