Highlights:

EXECUTIVE/STAFF MANAGEMENT  Founder of Higher Power Engineering, a small engineering and consulting firm working with both government and private clients. As Sole Proprietor I did everything from Engineering R&D to trash removal.  Personally obtained government military engineering contracts totaling over $1,500,000.00.  As Facilities Supervisor of the world's largest satellite earth station, I implemented training and maintenance programs, which cut operations cost by 30%, while providing improved equipment reliability.  Developed the "Creative Engineering" approach to technical problem solving. Concept is based on using current technologies applied in unusual manners to overcome apparent "impossible" achievements in product development. Presented this concept to SAE and US military engineers at their Seattle convention. TEAMBUILDING / TRAINING  Developed technical training programs for facilities staffs at over 30 FAA air traffic control centers, the US Air Force, and America On-Line at their Dullas, VA computer facility.  Inspire "out-of-the-box" engineering approach to overcome project hurtles which cannot be resolved conventionally.  Inspire employees to achieve peak performance and productivity while simultaneously maintaining high moral levels. This is based on application of personal responsibility and reward of each member to achieve the team goals.  At the COMSAT Etam Earth Station I took a 7 person staff of disagreeable individuals and molded them into a strong team that believed in one another. This effort was achieved by utilizing the different natural technical skills of each employee to efficiently accomplish multi-discipline maintenance and construction tasks. ENGINEERING / TECHNICAL SKILLS  Electric utility experience includes substations to 69kV, 4.16 to 34.5kV distribution, OH and UG line design, fuse and protective relaying coordination studies and settings, as well as safety and cost comparison studies.  Facility power equipment training includes diesel generators to 750kW, turbine generators to 2.5MW, switchgear to 4000A bus, breaker settings and maintenance, UPS repair/maintenance to 2.7MW, and redundant distribution systems.  Electronic circuit & PCB design background includes both analog and digital devices.  Navy Science Award, Air Force Science Award, WVU Honorarium Scholarship
