Highlights:

My latest accomplishment was moving the Travel port host and network systems from its Data center in Denver to Atlanta. Travel port is the leader in global travel distribution and the host to United Airlines reservation system. I was part of a successful team that moved 18 large mainframe systems with their associated I/O subsystems. The network for the GDS has hundreds of thousands of user connections worldwide. They are supported over both IP routing and switching as well as traditional SNA communication protocols. I was responsible for the host system networks over SNA, x.25 and SDLC protocols. These were fronted ended by IBM 3745’s and IBM RISC 6000 servers. We were able to move the data center with no significant disruptions to United Airlines or any of the other hosted companies

Companies I like:

Qwest, comcast, cox, direct TV, dish
