RssPublic Affairs Specialist

I would like to take the opportunity to express my interest in an employment opportunity that is currently available with your organization. The importance of pursuing the highest career success attainable has been emphasized throughout my educational and professional development. It is my desire to work in an industry, which affords me such an opportunity. Because of my strong desire to make a difference, I am confident that I would be formidable leader who would motivate others to perform to their highest ability. My current job and its tremendous responsibility helped to exhibit many essential qualities of an effective, proven leader including self insight and perception of others, the ability to inspire and motivate employees, adaptability to various workplace environments and settings, and thoroughly analyzing situations in a professional and efficient manner. As an environmental engineer for Valero Energy Corporation in Port Arthur, Texas, I am a member of a team who ensures state and federal regulatory compliance. However, my primary job duty is to serve in the capacity of Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Enforcement Coordinator for the refinery. When an environmental incident occurs, it is important that I meet with operations and maintenance personnel in order to obtain all facts and ensure that the refinery implements an effective corrective action plan that prevents any recurrence of such events. Although certain incidents that occur may be sudden, out of the ordinary, or beyond the control of the refinery, it is imperative that those environmental issues be resolved immediately and the proposed corrective plan be submitted to the TCEQ in a timely manner. Fortunately, my role as coordinator has enabled me to interact with many refinery employees and develop a rapport with them to ensure that, without hesitation, they can express any environmental concerns that may need attention so that the refinery remains in compliance with the established state and federal rules and regulations. Because I have had the opportunity to witness the effects of such a complex workplace environment in this industry, along with its fast pace and technological changes and advancements, I feel it is imperative that employee and customer satisfaction be a management priority. Therefore, if given the opportunity to work for your organization, I would take the initiative to ensure a positive working atmosphere by helping and motivating others, along with identifying any issues employees and clients may address and the root cause of such challenges. Subsequently, I would implement an appropriate strategy that would focus on and resolve the noted concerns. This, in turn, would result in optimal employee performance and productivity, along with client satisfaction, both of which are vital to the success of the organization as a whole. I look forward to speaking with you in the near future regarding my qualifications for a potential employment opportunity that is available with your organization.
