Responsibilities
I am the team leader for a Interdisciplinary Team. We are responsbile for every aspect of the lives of a Mentally Retarded Adult. My task is to evaluate needs, come up with a comprehensive plan to meet those needs. I work with diverse agendas, personalities and individuals. It demands execellent communication skills and top of the line leadership (as I cannot command, I must convince).
I am also responsible for the hiring, training and evaluation of the individual staff members at two group homes. I must translate the decisions of the team into real world information and then train high school graduates on the finest points of direct care.
