Major Responsibilities
Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services for use or for further processing by their establishment
Review requisition orders for accuracy and verify that materials, equipment and stock are avail-able from current inventories
Source and obtain price quotations from catalogues and suppliers and prepare purchase orders
Calculate cost of order and charge or forward invoice to appropriate account
Process purchases within purchasing authority
Contact suppliers to schedule deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed deliveries and other problems
Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports and price lists.
Establish and maintain contact with suppliers

Client services
General office duties
Requires knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and inventory control of Navy prop-erty. Assisted in the planning, staging and shipping of material in a timely manner, ensuring the completion of the task on the military installation within the required time frame. Issue and control of company owned tools.
