Major Responsibilities
Assemble data to upload into vendor database in order to obtain a sampling of loans, to be reviewed for quality assurance against set governmental & company metrics. Track missing or unavailable loan files to resolution. Catalog results for meeting presentation and historical purposes. Assist auditors and Senior Analyst as needed in research and preparation of investigations for presentation to Committee or rebuttal of a Quality/Underwriting finding, to include preparation, submission and follow up regarding various types of reverification(s). Conducted telephone interviews to validate information provide by borrower(s); Fine-tuned my ability for multi tasking as my daily tasks were of a broad range. I aid in performing quality control audits of mortgages on a post-closing, pre-funding, declined, or exception basis as assigned by management. Forged cross-functional relationships with the Credit Policy and Compliance Groups, as well as other RBC Mortgage and RBC Risk departments obtaining and distributing data to vendors to ensure compliance with all Bank, Investor and regulatory requirements are met. Acted as interim Sr. Analyst for Repurchases until replacement was hired and brought up to speed; Prepared recommendation forms for presentation to the Repurchase review committee. This entailed requesting and reviewing the loan origination file and entries in the corresponding loan origination system that was used to originate the individual loan. Ordered Review appraisals, BPO’s and AVM’s; Did an comparison analysis to come to a conclusion regarding the origination and/or current value as driven by the Investors correspondence; Processed correspondence from/with the requesting investors; Handled arrangements for the move of the principal workspace for the Consumer Mortgage Quality Assurance Team.
